Cobb and Co Stagecoach Adventures
In the 19th century Cobb & Co. stagecoaches transported passengers, parcels and mail in every mainland colony. Longreach was a major hub for Cobb & Co in Queensland, but also played a part in the demise of the stagecoach – the first airmail services in Australia were run by Qantas, also founded in Longreach.
Today you can visit Longreach and experience first hand the days of Cobb & Co.:
- On our half day Gallop Thru The Scrub tour you will experience the Australian bush and wildlife as well as being in a stagecoach at full gallop.
- On our overnight Clancy’s Campout tour you can camp by the riverside in a luxury swag, and after a Silver Service camp oven dinner recall the days of Clancy of the Overflow around the campfire, and fall asleep gazing up at the Milky Way
